Meet The Team


Trevor Deacon

Having started and invested in a number of companies throughout his career, Trevor became part of the board of directors in Tailored in 2019.


Trevor has a wealth of knowledge in the operational and commercial side of companies and is active across his many companies in a Financial Director role.


This role extends into Tailored Group providing a detailed and careful approach to maintaining the companies finances to ensure a strong and stable grounding for the future expansion of the business.


Trevor is a father of 6 and in his spare time enjoys cycling, Chelsea and looking after his many grandchildren.


Ryan Deacon

Ryan came on board with tailored in 2019 following their rapid growth. Ryan’s background is in technology, people management and corporate vision and he undertakes an active role in investing and managing companies and their expansion.


Ryan also had an interest in G&G with Gary and Graham and along with Trevor saw an opportunity to merge the 2 companies to become a strong supplier of labour and construction services.


Ryan continues to manage the companies infrastructure to ensure a smooth delivery of services to our clients from front office to back office functions.


In his spare time Ryan has a passion for anything with an engine, Soccer and spending time with his young family.


Gary Burch

Gary began his career as a bricklayer as soon as he left school, labouring as a hod carrier, working on large projects being mentored on projects like West Quay, Southampton and Gunwharf, Portsmouth. He then progressed into bricklaying after passing his NVQ level 3 and decided in 2010 that he and his lifelong friend Graham would start G&G to provide their own specialist brickwork services.


Garys professionalism and eye for detail helped G&G become a recognised name in the brickwork arena and in 2021 decided to merge in the Tailored group to become a multi service provider. Today Gary manages all quoting and surveying for the brickwork division and also maintains a close relationship with all of our clients and supply chains to ensure a smooth delivery of all projects.


In his spare time Gary is gym obsessed and a fitness fanatic, completing numerous challenges on a yearly basis to help raise awareness and funding for diabetes charities, which remain close to his heart. He also likes spending time with his young family and travelling around the world.


Graham Gillman

Graham began his career on building sites in 2000 after completing his NVQ level 2 in bricklaying and continued working alongside peers to develop his knowledge of the trade and clients.


Having been childhood friends with Gary since nursery they noticed an opportunity in the market to provide high quality bricklaying services and decided to form G&G in 2010. Since then G&G went from strength to strength working with large homebuilders such as Barratts, EG Carter, Crayfern amongst others.


Today Graham is responsible for day to day management of sites and labour ensuring each project is delivered on time and to the highest quality, allowing our clients to be proud of their finished product.


In his spare time Graham “Gilly” Gillman, actively manages his sons football team and likes to raise money for charities completing numerous events and challenges along the way.


James Blake

James started decorating at 17 having worked in property maintenance where he worked for 8 years. Having learned all aspects of the trade and how to client manage client expectations James decided it was time to branch out and start a business of his own.


Tailored was born and thrived under the ownership of James and Luke, upon Trevor and Ryan joining in 2019 this allowed James to focus more on their ever growing client base and workload.


Today James is responsible for the delivery of all decorating projects and management of the workforce ensuring each and every job is finished to the highest possible and delivered on time.


Outside of work James is a keen Pompey fan and avid golfer. He also enjoys time with his family and travelling abroad.


Luke Channer

Luke started his career as a labourer in the painting trade however within one year had begun to take on large residential projects with a team of decorators.


Luke met James on a number of commercial projects including Churches and Industrial units and in 2016 decided their skillsets, knowledge and client base complimented each other well so started Tailored.


Luke is now the companies estimator and surveyor for all decorating enquiries, managing client relationships from initial meeting to delivery of any project.


In his spare time Luke has a number of hobbies including, Drone operator, Sunday League club owner and being a cool dad.
